    Another enticing breadcrumb…..
    In Ep. 3 we can see Owl Man wrestling with the reality of Jasmine—her origin, before he succumbs completely to the power of Eros and the “reality” questions simply die away. And, by the way, if you are not heated up by the erotics of this story, you have my sympathy. There is much more to come between these two but I don’t do spoilers. I do enticements, though! I just want to ask here, are the “Jasmine” experiences Owl Man describes possible? You may find yourself asking this question much as Owl Man does in the Ep 3. If so, we are dealing here with a genre that cannot be called fiction (in its usual meaning of untrue or fabricated). It’s like asking if a certain kind of dream is real or not, like this one;

    “I am in bed and I am dreaming of a woman who is inside of me skin to skin. She is beginning to separate from me and is kissing me from the inside, making love to me. I am aroused but also scared too. It feels uncanny to have someone in my skin, sharing my body. I begin turning to see her. I want to see her but she resists me. Its like one body moving to two separate wills. I get scared but I manage to turn around expecting to see a witch. I see a young woman like. I look into her eyes deeply and I see the universe of stars. I keep thinking of the Knights Templar. I don’t think she wanted me to look at her. I felt possessed. I am aware that I am dreaming. She comes out of my skin again and holds me down. Its like she is a little behind me. I can physically feel her arms and body. I turn around again and our mouths meet. hers is like honey. She resists at first but her moistures are flowing. I touch her we begin to make love. I feels us as we move together. She is separate yet she came out of me.”

    There is no current literary category that can “capture” the reality of this experience. I can only describe it and most important, surrender to it. Let it teach me. I had this experience in 1981. Little did I know where it would lead. Everything about reality is challenged: inner/outer; spirit/matter; body/soul; language/referent, etc. This challenge also carries it dangers as I found out! And eventually all these opposites no longer matter as the power of Eros sweeps them all away and one just serves, just as Owl Man says, “She is no concoction of my mind. She is alive, a fit opponent to match my wits in a love-duel of enchanted words! Yes! A word-duel of love!”
